Fantastic news for Rob’s client Mari Durward-Akhurst, who has just received news that she has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Waregem CPEDI3* in Belgium.

After the huge success of their last trip to the States, Rob Waine Dressage and Ben Franklin Dressage are returning.

Keep your eyes peeled in the 18th April edition of Horse & Hound magazine. We were very honoured to welcome the H&H team to the yard today where they shot their Spring/Summer 2019 clothing feature. You may even recognise some familiar faces!

Today was certainly what they call a good day in the office for Rob. A PSG win for Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon with a fantastic score of 73+% at Bury Farm. Not only was this Nasa’s 4th run at this level but he was awarded 9s for his canter pirouettes! We think this is going to be rather an exciting year with him!

We are very excited to announce the dates for the 6th year of our Summer Series of Unaffiliated Dressage.

The 2019 dates are:
19th May
2nd June
21st July
4th August
8th Sept

The schedule will be available to download from the website soon.

We can’t wait to see you all for what should be another super fun few months. Stay posted over the next few weeks as we announce our 2019 league sponsors!!

A good result for Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon and Rob at the Addington Manor High Profile show today. This was only Nasa’s second Prix Saint George and his first time back in the show ring since August. His attitude to the work was super with the judges rewarding with 7s & 8s. On now to the next show for Rob and him. Another horse trained to this level by Rob

Looking ahead to Summer and planning your next fly rug purchase? Then check out our fly rug ‘tried and tested’ in conjunction with Horse and Hound magazine. Rob and the team tested these products over the Summer of 2018. Follow the link to find out what they thought.

Always a great feeling to open the British Dressage magazine and see two super clients staring back at you. Celebrating their fantastic achievements.

Rob and Ben Franklin have just returned from an absolutely awesome week training riders in the USA. First stop was the a beautiful facility in New York, the home of Courtney Bolender Dressage. Amazing riding and gorgeous horses! Part two was at the Eleazer Davies Farm, Boston. Such lovely people, lovely horses all with one great passion. We both look forward to returning to the USA in 2019.

A super read for a rainy Sunday. Written by Ben Franklin Dressage. The Oldenburger ‘Summer meeting’ was a fantastic few days, lovely people, lovely horses and so much information to digest. We will be returning to the ‘Winter meeting’ at the beginning of December.

Amazing news to hear that client, Georgina Way has qualified for the British Dressage Area Festival finals at Medium. These are to be held at the Hartpury Winter Championships in April 2019.

Well today was a very nerve racking and exciting day.

It’s taken 8 months to find her, but let me introduce you to this beautiful girl, Florida Sun.

A huge congratulations and a bigger thank you to Robert & Nicky Greenshields for bringing this girl into my stables, I feel one of the luckiest people alive right now.

A big thank you to the Oldenburger Verband for such an easy and simple process in buying such a talented horse

Another two clients pulling in fantastic results!

Well done to Tracey Fleming, after super results at the Area Festivals she made her way over to the BD Irish Draught championships and posted two top 5 placings!!!

Georgia Connell finished a fantastic 2nd place at the British Riding Club Championships in the Novice music. (We’ll let Indie off for his special prize giving face😂)

All that hard work has paid off ladies. Well done

September saw the 5th and final of our 2018 Dressage series. Can you believe that the shows have been running for 5 years now…they say time flies when your having fun!!!

A big thank you to everyone that attended, judged and volunteered throughout the series.
The last show meant one thing..the announcement of the 2018 winner.

After a tense few months the 2018 placings are:
1st Amber Young
2nd Pauline Dinnage
3rd Sheryl Davies

With the huge generosity of our sponsors Equine Essentials Direct, Stuart Equine, Chiltern Vet Physio, Stübben UK & Ireland, Hannah Freeland Photography, Equilibrium Products and The Simple Equine without whom we wouldn’t be able to run the shows, the ladies have won some amazing prizes.

The Simple Equine sponsored the ‘Most improved rider’ over the 2018 series. After some careful consideration the judges felt that the following rider had made a huge step forward over the series and wanted to reward them with the win. The rider is Ruth Hambleton 🙂 Huge congratulations Ruth.

What a super couple of days for RWD clients at the various championships.

Johan Redelinghuys posted a fantastic 3rd place Prelim and 7th place Novice finish at the Netex GB PRE Championships. Made even more amazing by the fact he has only been riding two years!!

Tracey Fleming finished a super 5th place in the Area Festivals Novice.

Victoria Carty posted a very credible 8th place in the Elementary Bronze.

And last but not least, Carol Fletcher finished 10th in the Elementary Silver. Good luck in the Medium tomorrow Carol.

The high winds and wet weather didn’t dampen the action at the 2018 British Dressage National Championships.
A little different this year not riding there but great to go as trainer, groom, support and general bag carrier, great to catch up and spend the 3 days with so many lovely people.

So proud of how everyone rode and performed. Amber Young rode such a professional test aboard the beautiful Ruby De La Cruz at their first Nationals for an incredible 4th place finish. What a great result and so well deserved. Ben Franklin Dressage finished on a fantastic 12th place in the Elementary aboard the stunning and elegan, De Angelis in not the easiest of conditions. Last but not least Mari Durward-Akhurst Para Dressage and the true gent, Sky O’Hara brought the crown home…NATIONAL CHAMPION!!!!!! She rode into that windy arena and retained her title from last year, just incredible!!!

It was lovely to see not only RWD clients were doing well but also horses that we have trained, Charlotte Cundall won her National title aboard the lovely BamBam whom Rob trained from Novice to International Small Tour.

We were very honoured yesterday to welcome the Oldenburg Verband to our facility to grade the competition mares for their Studbook entry. A fun, informative and interesting time was had by all and pleased to say that all mares passed very excited to see what offspring these mares produce in the coming seasons as part of their embryo transfer plans.

Today was our 5th and final dressage show of 2018, how fast has the season gone!!! A huge thank you to everyone that attended, volunteered and to our , without you it wouldn’t be possible to run.

Can you believe that the shows have been running for 5 years now, they say time flies when your having fun!!

Being the final show meant that the winner of the 2018 league was to be announced. After a nail biting few months the 2018 crown went to Amber Young, 2nd place to Pauline Dinnage and 3rd place to Sheryl Davies. Well done ladies..

As ever a huge thank you our league sponsors, Equine Essentials Direct, The Simple Equine, Chiltern Vet Physio, Stuart Equine, Equilibrium Products, Hannah Freeland Photography and Stuebben Uk.
