Another two clients pulling in fantastic results!

Well done to Tracey Fleming, after super results at the Area Festivals she made her way over to the BD Irish Draught championships and posted two top 5 placings!!!

Georgia Connell finished a fantastic 2nd place at the British Riding Club Championships in the Novice music. (We’ll let Indie off for his special prize giving face😂)

All that hard work has paid off ladies. Well done

September saw the 5th and final of our 2018 Dressage series. Can you believe that the shows have been running for 5 years now…they say time flies when your having fun!!!

A big thank you to everyone that attended, judged and volunteered throughout the series.
The last show meant one thing..the announcement of the 2018 winner.

After a tense few months the 2018 placings are:
1st Amber Young
2nd Pauline Dinnage
3rd Sheryl Davies

With the huge generosity of our sponsors Equine Essentials Direct, Stuart Equine, Chiltern Vet Physio, Stübben UK & Ireland, Hannah Freeland Photography, Equilibrium Products and The Simple Equine without whom we wouldn’t be able to run the shows, the ladies have won some amazing prizes.

The Simple Equine sponsored the ‘Most improved rider’ over the 2018 series. After some careful consideration the judges felt that the following rider had made a huge step forward over the series and wanted to reward them with the win. The rider is Ruth Hambleton 🙂 Huge congratulations Ruth.

What a super couple of days for RWD clients at the various championships.

Johan Redelinghuys posted a fantastic 3rd place Prelim and 7th place Novice finish at the Netex GB PRE Championships. Made even more amazing by the fact he has only been riding two years!!

Tracey Fleming finished a super 5th place in the Area Festivals Novice.

Victoria Carty posted a very credible 8th place in the Elementary Bronze.

And last but not least, Carol Fletcher finished 10th in the Elementary Silver. Good luck in the Medium tomorrow Carol.

The high winds and wet weather didn’t dampen the action at the 2018 British Dressage National Championships.
A little different this year not riding there but great to go as trainer, groom, support and general bag carrier, great to catch up and spend the 3 days with so many lovely people.

So proud of how everyone rode and performed. Amber Young rode such a professional test aboard the beautiful Ruby De La Cruz at their first Nationals for an incredible 4th place finish. What a great result and so well deserved. Ben Franklin Dressage finished on a fantastic 12th place in the Elementary aboard the stunning and elegan, De Angelis in not the easiest of conditions. Last but not least Mari Durward-Akhurst Para Dressage and the true gent, Sky O’Hara brought the crown home…NATIONAL CHAMPION!!!!!! She rode into that windy arena and retained her title from last year, just incredible!!!

It was lovely to see not only RWD clients were doing well but also horses that we have trained, Charlotte Cundall won her National title aboard the lovely BamBam whom Rob trained from Novice to International Small Tour.

We were very honoured yesterday to welcome the Oldenburg Verband to our facility to grade the competition mares for their Studbook entry. A fun, informative and interesting time was had by all and pleased to say that all mares passed very excited to see what offspring these mares produce in the coming seasons as part of their embryo transfer plans.

Another day at Bury Farm Equestrian Village yesterday, this time it was my turn to get in the saddle. Super result in the Advanced Medium for Nazareno Vicon with a 7th place finish on 68.68% in a very hot class, filled full of some very nice horses! The Medium was not our finest hour, all the counter canter is very boring now that we can do exciting flying changes thought Nasa.. Unfortunately they weren’t required at that level. Hey ho it was a nice problem to have!! Time now for him to crack on at the PSGs

Another incredible day at the Bury Farm summer regionals. Congratulations to Andre Lanning on his 3rd place in the Elementary. Keeping everything crossed for that wild card!!! A massive well done to Ben Franklin Dressage who riding Rosemary Mckerrell DeAngelis finished in a fantastic 2nd place and qualified for the Nationals in September!

07/08/18

Massive congratulations to client Amber Young who, riding Ruby De La Cruz did a stirling job at the Bury Farm regionals, qualifying for the British Dressage National Championships in September!!! An incredible achievement in their first season at affiliated competitions.

Very happy to hear all my clients doing so well at the Wellington Area Festivals this weekend, some even qualifying for the second rounds. Amazing guys!!

Great show with mine and Kirsty Anthony’s Sanssouci today at the Dressage at Hickstead Summer regionals. 6th place finish in a very HOT Medium Gold class!! The top 5 qualified so just missed out, fingers crossed for a wildcard.

This morning we snuck off to Bury Farm to compete Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon in his first PSG!!! He was an absolute star, a few green mistakes that can easily be built on but a good finish with just over 66%. Can’t wait to get him out to his next one!

09/07/18

A quick outing to Snowball Farm for Rob and Sanssouci ended well when they brought home first place in the Medium. This was a great pre regional confidence boast before they head to Hickstead on the 15th July.

A win for Sanssouci in the Medium today at Snowball Farm. It was great to be back out after spending the Winter training and building up her strength.

27/03/18

Another super day aboard Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon. This time at Widmer Equestrian Centre. It was Nasa’s first advanced medium and he didn’t disappoint bring home a 1st place with 70%!!

06/03/18

Super result at Bury Farm yesterday with Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon in the Mediums. Two first place positions even with a few cheeky flying changes! This horse is just incredible and loves to work.

Wow!! Very exciting day here at RWD!! I am very proud to announce that I will be joining the team at Stübben UK & Ireland as one of their brand ambassadors. After testing out their amazing bridles for a couple of months I can whole heartedly say how incredible they are. Both horses felt lighter, more up hill and generally more comfortable. Cici is pictured wearing the Switch Magic Tack Bridle and Nasa is wearing the Freedom Magic Tack which have to say I love. Both have the most amazing system with their browbands. They are magnetic so no more taking your bridle apart to change those diamonds!!! You can trial both of these bridles at Equine Essentials Direct just to make sure you to can feel the difference. #teamstuebben

A very sad day today here at RWD.

Due to owners personal circumstances we waved goodbye to BamBam as he set off to his new home.
It has been a huge honour to train this cheeky, loveable and sometimes down right stubborn boy from Novice through to International Small Tour. Something I am hugely proud of, made even more special by the fact many people couldn’t ride him.
A massive thank you to his owner Brenda for joining me up with her boy in what has been a fantastic few years and has provided a lot of people with lots of moments of happiness.
I wish his new rider all the luck in the world and we will all continue to watch his career stay going from strength to strength.
